View attachment 214493 Hey ? What goin' on in there? Why can't I walk through this glass?
I'm betting she is going to be a he. The boys seem to have the better more out going personalities. I'd love to see if any female aldabras turn out as out going as the males seem to if a female were raised alone and spoiled. Gregs boys seem way friendlier and I know my male leopards sure are over the females.
S/he is looking fantastic. I wonder if even in much warmer Florida if most torts do go through a winter slow down. I know my torts do, even though they are heated at 80 plus all winter. Keep up the great work and watch your toes.

Awww... don't burst my bubble :(
Kidding.
I really don't care male / female at all. Only have the one , not likely to live long enough to breed any anyway.

I must say though , " she was very shy the first 24 months. I think she has come out a bit because I relate to her often. And she's much bigger so less intimidated by everything.

When compared in growth rate to the few others I know about , she's on the smaller side. At 3 & 1/2 yrs she's 17 lbs.

At any rate - we both have a 50/50 chance of being right

My Blossom is around the same age. It's still very shy.

I didn't realize blossom was about same age as CupCake.

We're both in kinda the same spot - if she turns out to be a he - the names will be kinda funny
Well, this will be fun. I do hope you get which ever sex your prefer. It would be nice if Cupcake was a girl and getting all personable. Fingers crossed she stays a she. Same with Blossom, cuz, yea, couple funny names for a couple big pounder males LOL

Does your cat ever go after CupCake?
I have a cat as well, and she loves to watch my tort all day long but when she does escape and get outside she generally shows no interest in attacking. Where as with bugs, and my tenrec she tries to kill every chance she gets.
