Bananas?

I read online that Tortoises like bananas, but Rocky seemed very uninterested! I wonder if that's just because he doesn't like bananas in particular... Is there any foods we can give him to spice up his diet? Carrots or strawberries maybe, in moderation? I know Russian tortoises do not have the proper means to digest large amounts of sugar, so he will not be having these foods too much! Although, we got some good shots of him outside!

Fruit and treats are not good for them. Best to skip it and offer another flower, leaf, weed, or spineless opuntia cactus pad instead.

Even small amounts can upset the gut flora and fauna.

No more bananas for Rocky then!
Good Move! When I want to give Vladimir a treat, I just look for colorful parts of food that are good for him. There are some edible flowers and, of course, dandelions flowers. He doesn't NEED them, but he does eat them first!
