Hi there!

I was looking into placing my Sulcata tortoise for adoption to the best home possible.

I have had her for 7 years, but now I am injured and unable to properly take care of her. I have fought to keep her for years, but I still feel she would be better off with someone else who could do a better job caring for her.

I am in the San Diego, California area and looking for adopters who are familiar with Sulcata tortoises, have no dogs, and would be willing to give her a proper outdoor enclosure with roaming space in the backyard.

I am still debating on giving her up but would be willing to what I feel is the "right" person. I would prefer someone in California. Thank you for reading my post! :)

You have a beautiful sul. I'm so sorry that you are not in good physical shape to take care of your tort. Please PM me, then I can send you pics of my backyard.

Feel really sorry about it. You take really good care of your Sulcata, the shell looks so healthy!

She is so beautiful. We were in San Diego last summer and got to tour San Diego zoo with one of the breeder experts it was very cool. Very different than our green. Southern Virginia climate. Wish you the best

Sorry that you can no longer take care of her. I live in DFW area of Texas and would pay for shipping, obviously, and give her a large yard with a heated hut and 2 other females.

Is she still available? I can pick her up today. We have three total. Two sulcatas and a box turtle.

Hi, My name is Jared and I am an experienced sulcata keeper. I know this is late, and I am interested in adopting your tortoise. I just moved to a new house with a very large backyard. She will be well taken care of. I live in Texas, and I may be able to pick her up, but if you can ship her I will pay for shipping. If she is still available please fell free to call or text me at (210)835-6976

hope you can find a nice neighbor kid; or young adult that can help you keep it at your home You will be teaching them something; and they can help you in return. Maybe even some kind of payment to do so. Or perhaps their own baby tortoise once they have leaned all you can teach them. Hate to hear when people have to give up their animal companions because of health; injury; or age. Maybe members here can figure out some way to keep you and your tortoise together.

Hello, We just lost out 10 year old female and would love to replace her. I live in Las Vegas and we have 1/2 acre with one section specifically for our torts and rabbits. The torts have a pond that they love, plenty of shade, and a Tuff Shed with heat for the winter. Looking forward to your reply. d

I already have two, which is enough but mine are younger, could you please be kind enough to explain what you meant by " fought to keep her" - i am just curious if there is something i am not aware of about sulcatas, i hope you will still decide to keep her :)
