Sounding pretty good. You can use another terra-cotta dish for a food dish. I would keep the nighttime temperatures at 80° because you are getting a hatchling. As an adult you don't need night heat and it can get down to 60 but not for A couple years at least. Cover the top of the aquarium except for where the mvb and CHE shine through you can use plexiglass, or even tinfoil. It will help keep the heat and humidity in.
Keep receipts for everything,.

Oh, and make sure your plants don't have any pesticides or fertilizers in the soil or on them. Spider plants are great. You can also use herb plants, your tortoise won't eat them but they can hide under them.

And of course, if you want to be fancy, you could get a scale to keep track of the baby's weight. If I had a hatchling I would do this just to make sure they are growing. It doesn't have to be a big expensive one. Just one that measures in grams.

A very nice 'plan.' Congrats! But I am not an expert here, can't tell if there's anything missing-sorry.
And a very warm welcome to the forum.

yup! Im getting it from Deer Fern Farms. I know its not the best when an animal is being shipped but there is no other way I can get one.. no other place .

I am only familiar with a Deer Fern Farms in the States. If it is that one, you will not be able to ship a tortoise from them to Canada. Hopefully there is a Canadian business by the same name you are planning to purchase from?

CBC Turtles & Tortoises has a Greek breeder (it might be Yannick Gagne who is local to you) https://www.facebook.com/pages/CBC-Turtles-and-Tortoises/209874839043152 or search on Kijiji or try Reptiles Canada. Be prepared for prices being 2-5x higher than the American prices though, if that's all you've been looking at.
thank you! I found one on kijiji for 500$. A little overpriced for me. But since I am buying everything with my own money I need to save up a little more then:( Do turtles & tortoises ship the animals?

Yes they ship, contact them to ask for details and see what they currently have available. $500-600 is what I would expect to pay for a Greek.

ok thanks! I'll have to wait longer now:( Got to get about 500 more $$$
Check here on the forum in the breeders section. I'm sure you could find someone. $600 seems ridiculous to me but I guess I just don't know the prices they go for nowadays.
