Yep! Funny thing! Even though they're WAAAAAAAAAAY too young to sex...IT-1 and IT-3 are developing that 'U' groove at the anal scutes.

They are looking great, Dean. I think I speak for everyone when I say that you are making me extremely anxious to acquire an ivory sulcata.

I've got a yellowfoot that developed the "U" shape right from birth. It's interesting how some do that and then how some wait forever to give you even the slightest clue.

Here she is at 7.5". You can see the very obvious female characteristics.

Do you have pics of yours? I'm curious to see how far they have developed at a young age.

I love the ivories. The only morph of any tortoise species that I honestly think is awesome in every way.

Thanks for sharing those pics. They look like they are doing very well. Can you update us with some plastron shots?

After a few hours in the sun on a PERFECT 85º day...they return to their chamber...and get to test the first mulberry leaves of the season! This is just a sampling...I'll load the rest into one of my MEDIA albums! Thanks for looking (and following)! ;)

IT-1...not particularly interested yet...but such a regal pose!

IT-2...took down a couple leaves...but not without goofing off! YES! He walked around with that leaf hanging for a good half hour! Such a clown! :p

IT-3 went to f**king town...you'd think he was starving!
