Boxies that live wild in my yard

Here are a couple of the box turtles that live wild in my yard at my weekend house. I see them in the spring and summer. The one in the box we found while my husband was mowing. I put him in a box on the porch for about 30 minutes to make sure he hadn't been hit by the mower. Luckily he had not. We've seen him several times roaming the yard in the past few years. How neat to see them out in the wild, even if the wild is in your own backyard. :)

it must be so nice to have wild ones in the garden. your so lucky, the only wild animals we find in our garden are rats and mice :(

Bixies are so cool I remember one tine my cousin "herd" of Florida box turtles and ornates (captive bred as pets) where "raided" by a wild one in their enclosure where the wild one mated with one of them I belive one of the ornates and then sge laid eggs mind you me and my cousin live in Florida
