Does anyone use a ZooMed Tortoise Play Pen? I'm thinking about getting one to let my little cake play outside for a couple hours everyday. Thanks. ImageUploadedByTortForum1375479536.928335.jpg

We have a CB 2013 Pancake Tortoise that is about 3 inches across the shell. I was thinking that it would be easier to keep an eye on him in the ZooMed Tortoise Play Pen because he is very active.

This should be okay until he gets bigger then yeah. But there's nowhere to climb or hide so you'll have to add some hides, plants, and a water bowl. You might not be left with much room is my only concern. And zoomeds are expensive for what they are. I'm pretty sure you could make a bigger enclosure cheaply if you put your mind to it ;) just remember to cover the top because of predators.

Edit: ignore the hides part - there already is one! Lol

I personally probably wouldn't get this for a pancake tortoise cuz it can probably fit through the bars sideways. I put my pancake tortoise outside for a little bit in my dogs kennel before I made him an outside cage and he escaped through the bars sideways.

That's a very good point!
