Wondering why my sulcata would look darker? I've had him about 4 weeks now. He/she seems healthy happy and well. Good energy. I just noticed he/she looks alot darker. The brown sections. Yellow/tan areas seem fine. I did a side by side photo to compare but can't tell difference in pic. My bf just asked why he looks darker and I said I thought so too! Temps are fine. Food is fine. Thanks in advance! Pic in house was taken today. Pic in grass was previous pic

I knew a guy that tried to tell me my Sulcata was darker because he wasn't outside full time as a juvenile. I wasn't sure about that. Since he's been out full time, he hasn't gotten much lighter in 3 years.

He does have a new Uvb strip, that crossed my mind. Not quite warm enough to go outside yet but almost! :)
