i I've been having my sulcata "Peb" for about a month now and he's been doing great!!!! But recently my nephew visited this Mother's Day and when he when to put peb back in his house he face planted his substrate which is Cyprus mulch he was fine after that no sign that he was in pain but today I noticed he has a huge scab on the left side of his face... it still doesn't seem to be bothering him he's still as active as normal and eating but it's really bothering me

I think you may need a vet to look at it. In the mean time, way it with water, dab some antibiotic cream on it, human over the counter stuff and keep it clean. If it doesn't get better looking in a day or two or gets worse, I would take him in.

Yeah Im going to keep a close eye on it and put Neosporin on the cut but if it isn't looking better by the weekend we will definitely be going to the vet Monday morning! Thanks for your thoughts

Looks almost more like a cyst than a cut??? But wait for more experienced opinions!!!

I'm really hoping it's not a cyst:( it just came out of no where today like it developed over night... I check him daily as we go outside for some sun ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1495075390.963105.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1495075351.492697.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1495075360.592092.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1495075369.627368.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1495075378.559710.jpg

Environment that his kept in does not favor wound healing. Take him to the Vet's let the doc take a look at it and maybe for a couple days set for him a little hospital tank with paper towels, lights and lesser humidity to help it dry out and not get infected.

Upon a closer look, I'm not sure it is a cyst. It looks like dried blood and puss. I'd give it time to heal and maybe have him live on paper towels with no bedding to keep it from getting an infection... Good luck!
