Wild Tortoise Encounter

We were doing some work on our tortoise enclosure today and happened across this Gopher Tortoise! Such a funny coincidence. They're endangered so we aren't allowed to mess with them but I come across them every once in a while here in north Florida. He was so cute though, so I had to take a couple pictures.

I've seen a lot of them up by Cape Canaveral.
Here in south Florida they are around. But not in huge numbers.
It's always nice to see one!
