White patches on shell

I just got an ornate wood turtle. She seems healthy-- eyes are bright, very friendly and active. The only thing is she has white patches on the back of her shell. At first I thought they were just scutes that were molted and got stuck, but they look irritated and painful. I have some pictures below. Do you think she has shell rot or a fungus or something? Is there anything I can do for her? Any help is greatly appreciated!

(I know she's not a tortoise, but they stay on land like box turtles-- she is actually living with a box turtle right now. Any information I could find was about water turtles, so I thought maybe tortoise people could help)

That looks like a minor injury. Maybe the turtle was dropped and it landed on that edge, breaking it just a bit. Keep it clean and apply a bit of Neosporin to it. It should heal just fine.

Actually, the ornate wood turtles are a bit more aquatic than our box turtles. You can trust this care sheet:

That's good, I was really worried about her having shell rot since it's such a large area. I'll definitely do that.
And I'll play around with their enclosure so there is more swimming room.
Thank you so much!
