These guys are eating and looking very active. Hopefully they'll do well...

I have seen two headed/Siamese twin calves and piglets but they never lived long. But I have seen several adults reptiles with two heads and they seem to do okay. I wonder why that is?

Did you hatch them out? I don't remember seeing them before. They are so cute. Good luck, I hope they live a long good life.

No, my friend got them and gave them to me. I have had a bunch if them over the years, some do good other do not. These guys are pretty strong, they should do fine. I have 3 friends that have adults now. They swim and eat pretty much normal, and live happy lives. I also got these guys yesterday, Siamese twins.

My brother really wants one. Too much money though for something that may or may not do well.
Oh well-_-
Cool turtles though. Hope they do well!

Is it common with this breed? It seems like whenever I see a two headed turtle it's a red ear slider... Does it have anything to do with inbreeding?

My opinion, there are just too many RES being bred annually and chance to have siamese due to mass breeding.

Yes, the big farms hatch them out. There's been some of most species. I had a two head river cooter last year, and there's a Siamese snapper right now.
