I have a 1 year old hermanns and I realized that his tail is starting to get bigger. I heard that some hermmans can reach full grown at 2 years old is this true?

Yes, that can happen, but it isn't their normal growth rate. At a normal rate of growth a male Eastern Hermann's wouldn't reach sexual maturity for about 5 years or slightly longer. A female not for about 7-9 years.

Male Eastern Hermann's can grow to be anywhere from 5.5" to 7", rarely much larger. The average is around 6". Females can be anywhere from 5.5" to as big as 9", the average size is around 7-7.5".
