What kind of weed is this?

I could very well be mistaken, but it resembles something in the clover/alfalfa family to me.

I don't have a clue what it is. But I have a really good patch of it growing in my yard. The part of the yard that I've turned over to the animals :)

It could be clover or alfalfa. I threw out some pasture grazing seeds to help grow things for the chickens to eat.

hard to tell for sure but appears to be knotgrass, polygonum aviculare, sometimes also called knotweed or prostrate knotweed or one of the related summer annual weeds. I am not sure on the safety for tortoises.

If it is not weed the tortoise table says do not feed.
