Can someone please post a picture of a scute with new growth? I'm trying to figure out what this looks like.
Thanks!

I dont have a picture, but if you look at the scutes, there is a "Seam" between them, with a sulcata, this seam will turn white for a few days then turn dark again... this is a "Growth Cycle", it happens several times a year. It is more visable with a Sulcata. If you have a hatchling, you know what the original scute looks like, if not, it's the very center of the scute inside the rings, all of the rings, are "New Growth". as he gets older, the new growth will always be the darkest colors and fade over time.

The pink part in the middle is new growth.

This is the best picture I could find of new growth on too. You can see the light lines between each tan scute, that's new growth.

It's so much fun to see new growth on these amazing creatures. I literally have seen new growth on dexter every few days.
