I think the orientation of the baby inside the egg is so interesting. All of the Russians hatching seem to be sideways in the shell. My leopards and YF tortoises always pip at the end, and are lengthwise in the egg. And little Russian babies seem to hatch out really wide, while the leopards and YF hatch out longer or oval.

it makes them cuter as they look so fat

Ive noticed the same thing about baby orientation also.
He/she is so cute! I cant handle it!!

How exciting. Hatchlings are so adorable. I am expecting the first clutch of my Russian eggs to start hatching in around a week or so. I love taking care of the hatchlings. :)
