Turtle with random white spots

White spots have appeared on my friend's two RES. She says they appeared a couple of days ago. They are no longer in shed, and don't show signs of shell rot. She isn't able to go to a vet anytime soon, unless it means something bad.

One of them also has a cracked shell, but the owner doesn't know why

It's hard to tell by the pictures, without probing a bit. However, it does not look serious at all. Probably calcium deposits that form in little areas where water can get under the top layer of the scute that will come off the next shed. I Don't see anything I would worry about.

I don't know either. I sent her a screenshot of your reply, and that's what I got back. I was hoping that you would understand, as I am known to confuse stuff easily
