Hello all, I am moving to Europe in a couple of months and currently have my 10 month old in a 20 gallon terrarium with coconut fiber and sphagnum moss as a substrate. I also have the humidifier pumped in with the tube. My question is how do you tort-table folks keep the humidity up. I have a cherry-head red-foot. Also, I am not good at construction and was just going to purchase a table. Any recommendations?

You have to cover the habitat. Even if you just put together some PVC pipe over the habitat to drape plastic over, it has to be covered.

. . . have you checked into the rules and regulations of bringing tortoises with you into the European country you're moving to?

Yes. I already have her paperwork to export her and am waiting for the Germans to give me my other paperwork.

My question is how do you tort-table folks keep the humidity up.

The only way to keep humidity up in an open table is to heat and humidify the entire room to the needed levels. If that is not practical, you will need to buy or build a closed chamber of some sort.
