My Greek tortoise has not been feeling well for the past week.

He has not opened his eyes or eaten. I've started warm soaks with baby food but have not seen a change. He hasn't been moving much either, only when you move him.

Anybody know what may be wrong?

Set this tortoise up in a small hospital tank. Raise the temperature in the tank to 85F degrees. Soak him daily in baby food carrots and warm water and leave him in there for at least 30 minutes, longer is even better. You should see results in three days (eyes open). But you'll need to go over the Greek tortoise care sheet and double check your tortoise's environment to match what the care sheet tells you it should be. My spidey sense tells me he was being kept a bit on the too cool side.

My tortoise started to drool this morning and appeared swollen. I'm sorry to report that he passed away this afternoon. Im in shock, I cannot figure out what went wrong...

Oh dear! So very sorry to hear that @gar .:(

Please accept my sincere condolences.

If you have not had him for long, I believe that the pain won't be that bad: you did not get attached to one another.

And a very warm welcome to the forum! :)
