Tortoise neck is pinkish

I have my first russian tortoise and i don't know what a normal neck looks like....
Its only pinkish on the bottom half of the neck any ideas?

I don't know if that's good or bad. Can we see a picture? From memory (as I have no tortoises here in front of me), I'm thinking the neck skin on my Russians is all tan-colored.

Koopa's neck is tan... honestly dont think i have seen pick colored necks on Russians even in pictures... could his/her neck be irritated by something? pictures would help im sure. just did a quick Google search and someone in another forum had the same problem. linked to shedding, and possibly the neck rubbing on the shell. give him/her a soak and try to get a good look and some pictures.
