I saw this Craigslist ad and was wondering what sort of tortoise is pictured.

I'm not seeing any spurs, which you would see in a sulcata. It looks like it could be a desert tortoise. Isn't it illegal to sell those in California?

That's what I thought and told the Craigslist person. I was told to (paraphrased) shut up and stop bothering them when I mentioned that it was illegal to sell.
