I was just told that this guy might be a sulcata. What do you all think? These are the only pix I have so far...

Yes, in CA. A friend is giving him to me because her family is moving out of state. I hope he is a CDT, but I'll love and care properly for him no matter what kind he is. We are in the process of building a 20 ft x 30 ft outdoor enclosure. They're not Sulcata. Were these found or are you looking at acquiring them?? Are you in California?
Oh my gosh, just saw your location...his name is Kenai, given by current owner!! [emoji3]He's not a Sulcata. Was he found or are you looking at acquiring him? Are you in California?

There is a kids' story about 2 bears, Koda and Kenai. Obviously children named the 2 torts! He looks like a CDT to me but I don't want to tell you false information but I know @Yvonne G will know.
You're kidding me?! That's insane! I wonder how he got his name...Kenai is a beautiful place! It is tough raising a tortoise here but we are transitioning to Texas in just over a month!
Yes, I know. They are still at their previous owner's home. I will be separating them when they come to me. Actually, I will probably be giving one back to his former owner, who had him for 7 of his 30 years. This little one is the one I am keeping.Looks like there's two in the same enclosure .That's a big no,no .
I've been reading all the info on here, including beginner mistakes. Learning so much! I never knew a tortoise required so much care! I'm looking forward to getting him, as soon as his enclosure is finished.Yes that is a CDT for sure . Yvonne will be able to tell you care information.
