I wouldn't give it to him everyday, it's a treat. But most Sulcatas love them.
I just smash it and and toss it to him. Most of the seeds fell out when I smashed it.

Well, where I'm at is >100 during the day, July/August and sometimes still. Right now it's 90's and SUPER HUMID because of the rainy season. Ugh.

109.4 F for daily highs, this can very by a few degrees... And the lows are at the mid 80s... We can have scorching days when it's 120 F, it's not an everyday thing, but it can happen. Our winters are pleasant though

Roses, celosia, pothos, gazanias, African hibiscus, date palms, figs, mulberry, petunias, melons, grapes, olives, aloe, agave, prickly pear, aster, germaniums, purslane, and the list goes on... I wrote a long list a while ago, it's somewhere here

I think date palms can be used for shade, but I'm not quite sure...

They are selling lovely petunias here now, but I'm afraid its still too early, don't want to buy a load & then watch them fry! Date palms get pretty big, only those with low hanging fronds will provide shade.
