Timothy Hay..how often?

Hello everyone.

I have a pair of young adult Hermann's and I was wondering how often is okay to feed Timothy hay.
I usually offer it to them every other day and they eat it all.

Just want to make sure I don't over do it.

I don't keep this species but I do believe they prefer to eat leafy greens as opposed to grasses. In many cases eating dry hay can lead to dehydration in smaller species and/or those which do not typically eat grass. I'd suggest soaking the hay beforehand to make sure the dry material doesn't pull too much moisture from your animal. As far as how much to feed. I've never heard of a tortoise eating too much grass. My sulcatas try but the yard keeps growing back! Hopefully someone with direct experience with this species can be of a bigger help. Good luck.
