WE get a few newbies every week with a Sulcata in a 10 gallon aquarium with no idea or means to keep one once it is the size of a Toyota.

I read it upon release, and did some inquiring into the adoption status of the tortoise club here in San Diego and found that we are not overrun with abandoned torts here, with some of the highest land costs in the world.

I feel this issue is nowhere near as bad as it is stated currently, but that may change over time with all the young get large.
