Nice photos redstrike. If you look at coagi's first photo you can see the deep crevice. I've been getting paranoid about this with mine. But when she's older it's gone.
Do you know how old she was in the first photo?

Photo one of Coagi (in hand) is maybe a month or two old. She had just absorbed her yolk sac prior to Allegra shipping her off to me. I was a wide-eyed, first time owner of two tiny torts. The second picture is likely ~8 months to a year. It seems the first spout of growth creates that dip between the scutes?

What I find most interesting is the nares. All of them started out black and went Rudolph-red once they reached a certain size/age.
