Sulcata's first bath starting making clicking noise?

Today was Lumpy's first bath and he started making a clicking noise. He made the noise 3 times for about a minute at a time. Looked like he was making it with his mouth. I was just curious if that is normal or not? The water temp was 87 degrees. Thanks!

My hatchling started doing that when i first started soaking him as well. Some will agree that it happens when it's soaking time, some won't.

What are his temps in the enclosure? Basking temp?

It is 72 degrees in the burrow area and 90 degrees under the center of the heat lamp
