I have a few Redfoot eggs in my incubator. I often have to be away from home for a day or two. My question is, what if they hatch while I am away. Will the babies be OK in the incubator for a day or two? How long from pip to "walking around"? (Will the pip give me enough warning?)
Yes this is my 1st clutch...

Thanks for the info

I generally leave hatched babies in the incubator for a day or two anyway. I think the only thing you have to worry about would be if he tipped upside down, or if he has a very large yolk sac that might be endangered on the sharp edge of a shell. Are your eggs in little plastic tubs inside the incubator? You might think about putting them in them to lesson the chance of something happening.
