the third one looks like smooth thistle and is healthy for them.
the first two look questionable I wouldn't feed them until you know what they are for sure.
And the last one is grass I don't know if all types of grass is ok for them. make sure it hasn't been fertilized

Ok so rather than start a new thread for only one plant, I figured I'd just post it here. This grass has started growing underneath my compost container and I was wondering what it is?

I'm not sure about that last plant picture, but all the other ones are good to go, including the grass. I feed all sorts of different wild growing grasses to my guys. There are probably a dozen different grass species on my ranch and they eat them all.

Ok I lied I have a couple more... It seems like every time I go outside I see questionable weeds. Also, thank you to all my plant identifiers out there! I don't know what I'd feed without you!

There are lots of plants in pic #1. I think you are trying to show us the grass. Its fine.

Don't know 2. We don't have that here.

3 is sow thistle and its good to feed.

#4 is the same answer as number 2 for me. Sorry.

It is fantastic that you are taking the time to learn your weeds and feed them to your tortoise! :) Your tortoise will reward you with good health. If I were standing next to you, I'd pat you on the back for a job well done.

I'm going to start at the top.

#1 Wow, what is that? Can you get us a picture of the entire plant, not so close up?

#2 Is a spiny sow thistle. Safe but it looks a little odd to me. Can you get a picture of this plant from a distance as well?

#3 is some kind of brassica. Brassica is a large plant family that includes radishes, mustards, cress, and much more. Safe.

Starting at the beginning again.

#1 I hope Tom is right and you're trying to show us grass; there is a lot going on in that picture. If it's not grass, pull out whatever it is, put the whole thing on a countertop and take a picture of it that way. Put a dime or a nickel in the photo so we can get an idea what size it is.

#2 looks like flat leaf parsely to me but it can't be that, unless the plant also has some long stems with leaves, not just the ones that close to the ground. Can you get us a picture of the entire plant?

#3 Smooth sow thistle, as Tom said. Safe.

#4 I don't know but it is familiar, someone will know.

If it's not obvious, a picture of the entire plant, in addition to the close up, is really helpful. At least to me. :)
