Sleepy Russian tortoise

Its been at least 3 weeks since we got him and I've learned to care for him better every single day thanks to the people who help me here. For the past two days bubba has been only eating and sleeping. I take him outside to eat weeds and grass everyday. Is this behavior normal for tortoises?

Yep. There are periods of almost hibernationlike states called bruamtion. They eat, sleep. Sleep some more. This will only last a small amount of time, but make to soak him, (for poopy reasons ) and that he is eating enough.
