I'm letting a few extra CB 2017 hatchling Testudo hermanni hermanni from Sicily go to serious parties.
This locale, referred to as Sicilian "Spurred", comes from the Madonie on the beautiful island of Sicily, Italy. They are without a doubt the most unique form of the western Hermann's tortoise.
This uniqueness is attributed to a variety of characteristics but the most prevalent of them is the presence of THIGH SPURS much like that of the Greek tortoise (Testudo graeca). They are of course in no way, shape or form a hybrid with the Greek tortoise, but are instead their own distinct form which is pure to Testudo hermanni hermannionly. See photo below.
Like all the western Hermann's tortoise strains kept and bred here, they are genetically tested and of the absolute purest form. Truly, they are as classic and real as it gets. For anyone interested in reading up on my genetics research concerning this species, I highly advise subscribing to RADIATA JOURNAL. Although a German journal, English versions are available. I am offering up a temp sexed group of 3 males and 4 females.
