I've read the threads on advice for shipping a tortoise.

When putting the tortoise in a pillow case, would bubble wrap work well as the filler? To help keep it stable, put it all around the box?

I would rather use packing peanuts because they allow more air space in and around the individual pieces. Even in a closed up box with no air holes, the peanuts allow enough air to keep the tortoise breathing until he reaches his destination. I'm not so sure bubble wrap would work.

Ok! So in the box, layers of packing peanuts, tortoise in pillow case (sealed shut), and packing peanuts all around it? Is that how it would work?

Thanks Yvonne.

Not sure if the egg cartons were safe, I am no expert on tortoise shipping.

Depending on where it's coming from/going to, you can put hot/cool packs in the box to help keep the tort comfy :D
