Russian tortoise in Florida weather?

I am going to get a Russian tortoise soon and i want him to live outside,but i live in Florida, would that be ok? If so,do you have any tips for its outside enclosure?

Is it a hatchling? The hatchlings need a higher humidity like Florida has. The adults only need about 30-40%. I don't believe the higher humidity would hurt though. Make a large enclosure, even though small, they cover a lot of ground in the wild. Also, be sure to lay a type of fencing on the bottom, the can dig out quickly and make sure the sides are high enough he can't climb out. They can climb straight up and are very good at it.

Many russians live outside in FL. Just make sure he has a dry retreat for rainy days and cold night.
