Hi, I'm new to the forum and I was wondering if I could get advice on a good, balanced diet for a Russian tortoise?
I own a 2 year old called Cleo. She's very happy and healthy and also very active however, numerous websites give me different information on what to feed them. E.g. One website would say that a certain food shouldn't be feed then the next says that it's good for them?!
I think I'm just worried she's not getting all the nutrients and fibre she needs in her diet despite her appearing to be very healthy!

Thanks

There are endless list of good things to feed. Take some time to learn to ID your local weeds. Then grow or scrounge them from safe sources. This is the best food for your tortoise.

Add in some mulberry, hibiscus and grape leaves, grow some spineless opuntia cactus pads, and you should have a happy healthy tortoise.

You can also feed some Mazuri tortoise chow once or twice a week to round out any subtle nutrient deficiencies or imbalances.
