Russian nails

I have been looking for a post on this topic, but cannot seem to find one (or I'm looking in the wrong spot). Are you suppose to trim your tortoises nails? Any info would be of great help! Thanks!

Russian tortoises do have long toe nails. Your tortoise's nails probably don't need to be trimmed, but here's a thread where it's talked about:

You can also file them down naturally by adding a flat rock in the enclosure for said tort to walk over. Works for beaks too, if you feed them on it. Just takes a bit

Thank you all for the info and link! I was just concerned about one of her back nails that it's getting long enough to have a slight "curl" to it! Now I know I can trim them. Thank you again for everyone's help I have received so far on joining this forum!
