Hi,
Some Dino's news from -25c outside Québec temp.

Please tell me what I did wrong it will help me to improve Dino's quality Terra life.

I bought a PlexiGlass to cover the top of the enclosure (enclosure size is 47" X 23"..I know it is too small for him)

After that I replace lamps and UV by :
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0002AQCQO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I order another one, I will receive it wednesday because one CHE did'nt give me the right temperature (80F), I suppose enclosure is too big for 1 CHE.

CHE are plugged on ==> https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0018CLYNG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For UVB light (I wonder if I will not have to buy the 5.0, I have a doubt?) ==>https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0009YJ3BE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
or this one is ok?

Dino is very awake but he still spending time in his root tree watching what all the family is doing.
He eat like 4:tort:so I suppose everything is ok.
And like you all told me, yes! a closed chamber, covering completely the top of the enclosure is the secret to manage humidity and temperature. It is so easy now to have good temp and % humidity.
You 'll see on pics I keep old dino's root tree and fill it with a kind of Sphagnum moss. This help for humidity.
I put a large mirror in all the back of the terra too, doesn't seem to disrupt my Dino.

Again thank you, and could you tell me if it is normal to have so many affinities with a :tort:;):p

Hi All,

Dino is in a good shape..Thanks again!
The only thing we did ( after http://www.tortoiseforum.org/threads/redfoot-hibernate.149965/page-2) is moving the hundred pounds Terra from the living room to the Room where one is all.
And it works!
Dino spend lot of time outside his root tree watching, listening, sleeping too:)

What I learned is not to leave our:<3::tort: in a room where there is no life but to share it.
