My hesitation is the perlite--it is the white puffed volcanic rock. I would be very concerned that the torts would eat it instead of cuttle bone.

Yeah I saw that, I can't find any that don't. I'm open for suggestions.

Don't use that type. Your tortoise will seek out and eat the perlite.

Yeah I know i'm going to look in the threads on this form to see if I can find any that is suitable thanks .

I agree with the other posters. No perlite. Its not safe. Kellogg's makes a few types with no perlite in it.
