Ok i'm making this post to try to stop anyone that is going to realse there tort in to the wild.Ok so maybe like 5 months ago I was in this class and we were going to the beach.When we got there we saw some RES's (the teacher did not agree with me that they were RES's but I was sure they were) about 5 or so I was having fun because I like turtles and all and the next time I go to the nature class the teacher tells us that she took another class there and um :( the turtles were dead.:(.SO PLEASE DO NOT REALSE A UNWANTED TURTLE INTO THE WILD TO STOP THIS FROM HAPPEN TO YOUR TURTLE OR TORTOISE!:(:(.I came upon one of those shells.:(:(:(:(:(.

This was at a lake? How do you know they were not eaten by a predator?

Just be careful.

I agree, never let your unwanted animals into the wild cuz it wont survive for long.

can you repeat the story? I don't understand.
You went to the beach (ocean/sea) and you saw Red Eared Sliders in the water? On the shore?
Where was this beach?
