I have an 8' x 2' enclosure for my box turtle but it is made with wire and she seems to want to climb when it rains.
I threw it together last year just to get started.
I heard that if they can see through it they will want to escape.
I want to use white vinyl lattice to make it look nice.
The holes aren't as big and was wondering if this will stop her from wanting to escape.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

She could probably climb that also. And she can still see out of it. Try 2 buy 12 or 2 x 24s. Post a picture and we may be able to give you specific ideas.

Turtles are good climbers and escape artists. Do not have see- through walls. If she's climbing in the rain, that sounds like she is looking for shelter or high ground.

Can you make your habitat wider? 2' is quite narrow for outdoors.

One of the easiest throw together pens can be made with cinderblocks.
