This color / pattern is called "Flowerback" .. since males are late to shed he is not as 'colorful' as he was a couple years ago.. he is a 2012 hatchling ( from trade with friend ).

He's stunning Terry. When you say he's late shedding. How late? Do they shed every year or years?

He has never shed.. as opposed to females that shed their second year - no later then third - and every year thereafter.

'Late to shed meant I've only had one male to shed.. and it was because he had been raised in [ dirty ] fresh water! When acclimated to "Brackish" he shed and looked like a different Terrapin - and my Terrapin community was amazed by the difference!
