In the warm time of year in my area I feed my torts on three plants as main diet. They are grape leaves, mulberry leaves, and Hibiscus sp. [both leaves and blossoms]. They are readily accepted but I have never found any nutrient values for any of them as food charts seem based on mammals [human] consumption.

The nutritional value of the plant is the same whether a cow is eating it or a tortoise. Just bigger or smaller quantities.

You've probably found these links yourself and I'm misunderstanding your question. If so, I'm sorry.

I too use these plants as part of a staple in my tortoises' diets. I never thought to question it, merely going on what I've been told.
