does anyone have any updated information on what's being done to protect the angonoka (ploughshare) tortoise. I know they are critically endangered, and it's sad to see such a rare tortoise being so close to extinction.

Check the web sites for Turtle Conservancy and The Behler Chelonian Center. They are doing the most work to save these animals and have links and info on their current activities.
