Hi TFO! I am Dennis from Manila, Philippines. Sorry I don't post much but I am very excited to share this time lapse video of our 3rd captive-bred Radiated tortoise hatchling! I was lucky to catch this one from pipping to hatching. The process took 2 days but this video captures the entire experience in 90 seconds :)

I realize it's time lapse, and the movements are speeded up, however, it was very interesting to me to be able to see just how much movement there actually is while trying to get out of the egg. Thanks for sharing, and congratulations on hatching one of the more beautiful tortoises.

Thanks Yvonne! That is true, I never realized it too until this time lapse video. I just used a cheap action camera and set it to shoot every 30 seconds. it was worth it! I don't get tired watching it over and over again haha

Oh. So you are that sodatort?

Yes, sodatort is my handle in Instagram and Facebook :)

Wow. So radiated baby hatch at 14 gr weight? That almost "non-existing" weight.
Awesome!
