New & trying to post an avatar

I'm trying to put on an avatar of my Ralph, but I keep getting error messages saying the file is too large. I made it to a thumbnail and it's only 96x72 pixels. The error messages says the max is 100x100, so I'm a bit lost. How do I post it?

Debbie I checked your pic and downsized it again to 100 pixels Here it is. Hopefully this should work. All you should have to do is click on the pic, copy and paste it . You can also go to photobucket and set up your avitar through them http://photobucket.com/?special_track=nav_logo

Thanks. I'm not computer smart so it took me awhile. Is there a place here that will explain how to do everything in the future? I haven't had a chance yet, but does this site have a photo album?
