Hello Everyone,
We are a new family to the world of Tortoise's. My son got a Russian for his birthday last weekend. She is somewhere between 3 & 4 years old. Her name is Shellie (yes, Shellie..)
I have been searching a lot of your threads to learn new things about Shellie and make sure we are doing everything correctly. I think we are on the right track. She has a 40 gallon enclosure with a 'hide' a low, sloped water dish, UVB and Heat lights. We have been feeding her a mix of food pellets and Spring mix. She goes outside almost daily (Munched on some Weeds today). If she doesnt go outside she gets a 'stoll' around the house. She also had her first soak yesterday.
We hope to have years of fun ahead of us.
