Just joined yesterday and have been reading a bunch on proper enclosures/diet. I already know I need to change their diet a bit, but want to make sure my outside enclosure is ok. I'm located in buckeye, AZ. The enclosure gets decent sun, but also good shade. ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1490280740.203632.jpg
This was taken at 1pm. By 3 or 4 it's completely covered in shade again - it's located on the East side of our home. Any thoughts or recommendations?? I keep the ground wet, soak them daily and they have access to water all day.

Hi Peyton:

This is fine for a couple hours a day, but your baby sulcatas need to be indoors in a closed chamber if you want their shells to grow smoothly. Be sure to read these threads for helpful information:

Also, place a few plants around inside that habitat. This gives them a more secure feeling and more places to get out of the sun.

I did plant a few pansies around the walls of the enclosure! Thank you for the info. I will get working on an inside habitat :)
