New Redfoot PLS help is this shell rot?

Hello everyone.

I was just given this new baby redfoot and the shell looks funny to me. There's an indent on the top of the shell and on the bottom... let me think of how to describe it as best I can. It looks chipped and like the shell is rotting away in a few spots.

Can you please tell me what is wrong with his shell. Thank you.

It looks more like scrapes. But from what I've seen, shell rot likes to get a grip where there are scrapes already. Is there a rough, flat, raised area in the enclosure?
Get yourself some "Athletes" fungus foot cream and smear a little dab on those areas for 10 days to two weeks.
If it IS fungal, it will soon die and if it is not, there is no harm done.
(BTW I purchase mine from the DOLLAR STORE. It's the same active ingredient and the same percentage as the tubes costing ten times as much.)

The dint on top at the front costal scute is normal, these guys are folded up in the eggs. Over time the dint will become less and less apparent as your tortoise grows big. Nothing to worry about.
