Hi! My name is Sara and I am going to be adopting my first red-footed tortoise on Sunday. I am super excited but also nervous because this is the first tortoise I will be caring for. I am really excited to be working with a great rescue organization and looking forward to helping teach the students in my class about the importance and proper habitats of taking care our new family member.

Hello and Welcome. Just an FYI, a tortoise is not a good pet for a school room. If that's what your considering, Hope you will consider housing her at home with some visits to the school or maybe a tortoise cam. Be sure to read the RF caresheets on the forum and also take a look at the tortoiselibrary.com
