Hi there! I'm a new tortoise owner and I had a couple of questions, just to be sure about all of the research I have done so it would be great if someone could help me out when setting up my tortoise table!
1) bedding/substrate
Would the best substrate be 50% topsoil and 50% play sand?
2) There're are many different opinions when it comes to which bulbs to use. Do I need to get a UVB lamp (on 12hrs a day) and a 100W mega Ray lamp (which is for heat)?
3) If the temperature is too hot in the tortoise table, how would I adjust it?
4) Finally, what additional nutrition do they need, for instance, calcium salts or pellets?
