need advice for excessive heat in PHX

I am new to tort ownership, so I would like to know if what I'm doing is good or bad. The temperatures here in Phoenix, AZ are going to be in the 115-122 degree range for the next couple of weeks. I am currently taking my torts outside into my mostly shaded back yard 6-am-11am, and taking them back into the house to stay in their temp controlled enclosures for the rest of the day because I feel its way too hot for them. I just want to know, am I doing them a disservice or is this the smarter thing to do for them? I don't want them to get heat stroke.

Thanks for the link. It makes me feel better about bringing them inside during this heat!
